The National Garden Scheme (NGS) lists 3700 gardens

that open to the public for charity, often referred to as

‘The Yellow Book’ because the books

listing the gardens are yellow.

The NGS gives away more than £2.5 million each year to nursing,

caring and gardening charities and we have given them a total more than

£25 million in the last 15 years


‘Perennial’ Gardeners Royal Benevolent Society

(known as Perennial or GRBS) was founded in 1839

and Perennial is the national charity
